Trash Talk Chess
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Trash Talk Chess is made by ASB Nexus, based in Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what the game stores about you, why, and how to have it deleted. Playing the computer or pass & play works without an account and keeps everything on your phone.
What we store when you sign in
Online play, friends, the leaderboard and purchases need a sign-in with your Google account.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your Google account ID and the email address on it (kept by Firebase Authentication) | To sign you in and keep your profile and purchases with you on any phone |
| Profile name (your first name to start; you can change it) and the country you pick | Shown to other players, on the leaderboard and in matches |
| Rating, wins, losses, draws, badges and a friend code | Rankings and finding friends |
| Friends and friend requests | The friends list and challenges |
| Online matches: moves, clocks, results and emotes sent | Running the match, history and replays |
| The army, emotes and animations you own and equip | So purchases stay yours and opponents see what you equipped |
| Purchase records: product, Google Play order ID and a scrambled (hashed) purchase token | Checking purchases with Google Play and preventing reuse |
| When you were last online | Showing friends who is around |
Matches you play against the computer or in pass & play are stored only on your phone.
What other players can see
Your profile name, country, rating, badges and equipped army, emotes and animations. Never your email address.
Payments
Purchases are made through Google Play. Your payment details go to Google and are never seen by us. See Google's privacy policy.
Services we use
Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions) stores and runs the online features, on Google servers in the United States. Google Play handles distribution and payments. We don't use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we don't sell your information.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has signed in, contact us and we'll delete the account.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
Account data is kept while your account exists. You can have your account and its data deleted at any time; see how to delete your account. Records of purchases are kept, without your name or email, as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Big changes will also be announced in the game.
